1. LISTENING BODIES: I will listen and follow directions the first time.
2. RAISED HANDS: I will raise my hand to share my ideas.
3. QUIET MOUTHS: I will use a quiet voice.
4. WALKING FEET: I will walk in school to be safe.
5. HELPING HANDS: I will keep my hands to myself unless I am helping a friend.
6. CARING HEARTS: I will use kind words
I encourage positive behavior all day, every day. Together, we will learn the classroom expectations - I love to reward the children's efforts for being a great classroom citizen.
Catching Compliments
The class as a whole also has endless opportunities to earn "Catching Compliments." Baseballs are earned every time the class is complimented in the hallway for walking quietly, or students are working in groups cooperatively, or the children are actively participating in class discussions, or . . . you get the idea, right? Once our mitt is filled with baseballs the students vote on the type of celebration they would like to have! (examples include dance parties, pajama parties, pizza parties, outdoor parties, etc.
Extra Incentives!
The following incentives can also be earned when students show good character throughout the week!
· Students can earn "STAR" bucks to use for incentive purposes during "STAR" assemblies each month.
· Good Note Home (child brings a good note home when they've had an excellent day!)
